Rafy's Bio-

Rafy with his debut album "El Sueno", has managed to modernized merengue with hip hop appeal. Although his foundations were built on traditional forms of merengue the influence of hip hop, soft rock, merengue tipico and bachata permeates through the vibe of the album. Born in the Dominican Republic, he later moved to Boston, MA where his passion for dancing drew him to the club scene like a vortex. Dancing, he captivated crowds communicating freestyle maneuvers even before he added music and a message.Rafy Rosa "is rhythm" which when combined with audible thought, turns his CD into a living thing. "El Sueno" breaths reality touching topics that was at first hard for him to express. His music documents his triumph over life burdening situations that he wouldn't let scare his emotions. The tone of El Sueno implies for us to do the same while remembering to enjoy life. Overcoming these personal boundaries, Rafy managed to turn otherwise depressing situations into comforting reminders that we all share some of the same problems. "El Sueno" even gives an English to Spanish lesson while reminding us that if you can't understand the language, you still feel the rhythm. Are you ready for Rafy Rosa's "El Sueno"?
