We at El Mariachi Tapatio are members of the Arizona Commission on the arts roster and comprised of 12 male and female members.

INTERNATIONAL PERFORMANCES:

1. Okayama Int'l Festival 1997 - 3 week tour of the state of Okayama, concerts in Bichu-cho, Kamo Cho, Takahashi City, Sanyo Cho, Okayama City,
Nariwa Cho, Osafune Cho & Kumanen Cho - included workshops and cultural exchanges.....trip was a real "kick-in-the but".

2. & 3. 5th and 6th Encuentro de Mariachi y Charreria in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico 1998 & 1999. Included performances all over Guadalajara and in Cocula, Tequila and on the "tequila express".

We have also jammed at 33,000 and 35,000 feet on flights from San Francisco to Osaka, Fresno to Tucson, Tucson to Houston, Houston to New York and Sacramento to Tucson.

National gigs include: Sacramento Latin Music Festival, Las Vegas NAFTA Conventions, Viva El Mariachi Festival - Fresno, Albuquerque Mariachi Festival and Festival de Amarillo.

Arizona- concerts, weddings, tailgaters, parties, serenades, school residencies, and workshops all over from Lake Havasu, Yuma, Safford, Scosttsdale, Mesa, Chandler, Nogales, Green Valley, Queen Creek, Pinetop, Showlow, and all over Tucson.

And last but not least we back-up our sister organization El Ballet Folklorico Tapatio as the Tapatio Performing Company.
