I can clearly remember hearing a Cal Tjader recording for the first time in the fall of 1987. Listening to the music gave me lasting energy and inspiration for a direction I would later pursue. Learning about this music and leading Los Gatos has been an honor. We all take a humble bow to the work of Callen Radcliffe Tjader, as well as many other musical fathers. Thanks to the persistence and determination from the group, here is a current snapshot of a dream in progress.
