Heaven's Island has been my dream for a missions project. I wanted to embrace different cultures in my music and to be globally minded, because Jesus died for all of creation. The song Mighty God was created as a reaction to the current struggle for world power going on right now and it has been a reminder to me that Jesus rules as King in the kingdoms of our hearts. His kingdom is love, joy, peace and kindness. Ultimitely, Jesus will come as he is depicted in Revelation, as the chorus of the song describes. The hispanic influences in my music came from the love I have for the Spanish speaking people in my church. I am currently a music minister in the United Pentecostal Church in Chapel Hill, N.C. For several years, I have been a part of the choir in the UPC fellowships and I have ministered as a backup choir for Timothy Spell this past Easter where 2,000 people were in attendence.
