Mo' Guajiro is a roving community that's been plowing through New York's and Puerto Rico's latin music and club scene since 1995.

Gathering its members from the subways, Central Park, and dance classes. Mo' Guajiro has performed traditional Cuban son in venues such as SOB's & Babalu in NY, and Anfiteatro Luis Munoz Marin & Marriot Hotel in Puerto Rico. In February 2001 the band was invited to perform at the prestigius Jazz club "HALF NOTE" in Athens,Greece having a tremendous response from the Greek audience for 11 nights.

A true pueblo alegre with no frontiers, an Iowan, Venezuelan & a Puerto Rican, collaborate on the folk music they love, creating tunes that not only echoe those of the Cuban countryside, but capture Mo'Guajiro's unique urban experience.

Pueblo Alegre is rooted in Septeto Style Son and stems into variations in tunes such as Cumambo, a mix of son and cumbia.

"Practice Love", a soulful Boogaloo sung in English, adds a bit of old school flavor. "Pueblo Alegre" is the happy result of Mo'Guajioro's journey through the big town, that is New York City.
