The concept of DEL MUNDO was created when founding member Bruce Harvey served with the Peace Corps in Somalia, East Africa. He had his guitar with him and absorbed the African and Arabic music he heard daily. After two years in East Africa and several years of guitar studies in Spain, he returned to the U.S. and started Del Mundo with Japanese guitarist Shigeru Miyoshi. They were joined by Latin guitarist, Fred Kunze and Venezuelan percussionist/ producer, Allan Phillips. Del Mundo's third album,"At the Edge of the World", is their finest work to date. "At the Edge of the World" features the group's trademark dynamic guitars and explosive percussion. Elegant, tightly harmonized melodies are interspersed with virtuoso lead guitar solos. In addition to bass and drums, the rhythm section includes timbales, bongos, conga drums, djembe, chimes, maracas, blocks, bells and castanets. "At the Edge of the World" also contains Del Mundo's first ever vocal track, "You Can Do Anything", by Alyssa Lerner with vocals by Alex Vega. Track List: 1. Puesta del Sol (Sunset) 2.
