Classical guitarist Anisa Angarola concertized for ten years with the Los Angeles Guitar Quartet which she founded in 1979-1980. She has performed throughout the United States and Mexico as well as in London, Toronto, Zurich, Hong Kong, Brussels, Madrid, and extensively in the Netherlands, Italy, France, and Germany. She has also appeared as a recital and symphony soloist, in duo with Angel Romero, performed for Andres Segovia, as well as arranged, produced, and performed on numerous recordings. Her Irish Airs and Dances, for Dargason Music was on the ballot of the 1991 Grammy awards and her festival work with Seamus Connolly has been recorded for the archives of Radio Telefis Eireann.

Anisa Angarola's interpretation of the title work of this CD has been praised by conductor-composer Federico Moreno Torroba Jr., as the finest interpretation of this composition of his father that he has heard.

Acoustic Guitar says:

"Angarola's playing reveals a deep understanding of the way in which these composers balanced elements of light and shade, texture, and color. Torroba's Sonatina and Turina's Sonata are beautifully played.."
