We have lived in Los Alamos, New Mexico (The Atomic City) for 16 years. C.J. is involved in the Jazz Band at Los Alamos High School and Cecilia is part of the Concert Band at Los Alamos High School. I have been a musician in different bands for over 25 years, but I do this as a hobby. I started teaching my children, C.J. and Cecilia the type of music that I love and they picked it up right away so I decided to perform at both of my older daughters' weddings and people reacted positive. We decided to record this CD and I think that everybody who listens to it will like it. We entered the New Mexico Hispano Entertainers Association awards competition just 2 months after releasing the CD . On October 25, 2003 the New Mexico Hispano Entertainers Association held their awards show in Albuquerque, NM and we were nominated for 4 categories with 5 of our songs. We won an award for Best Original Song of the Year with "La Duda". We were nominated for Best Cumbia/Salsa/Tropical Song of the Year with "Maria"; Best Progressive Ranchera of the Year with "Chiquita" and "No Digas Que No";and Upcoming Artists of the Year with "Amor Hispano". I also work at the First United Methodist Church and the ARK child develolment center as a custodian and have been there for 14 years. I take care of a disabled man who has lived with us for 6 years and he enjoys listening to us practice in our living room. Besides C.J. and Cecilia, I have 3 more daughters who are very good singers. They are Esmeralda our oldest who is married to Branyan Sanxter and is a Bilingual teacher at Gadsden Middle School in Anthony, New Mexico. Then there is Araceli who is married to Adam Trujillo( a pharmacist ) and then Mariana , our youngest, who is learning to play the violin and saxophone. Track List: 1. Chiquita 2. Amor Hispano 3.
