In Rhythms of the Heart George Gamez displays his vocal skill in songs that are dear to his heart. These are some of the most romantic standards ever written. George likes to sing boleros and sensuous Brazilian bossa novas and he has included some of the most beautiful songs of these genres. Included as well are some American pop standards that are always favorites of his live music audiences.

George Gamez' music can best be described as Latin and nouveau flamenco with a Latin flavor. In this album, his smooth vocals are complimented by his exquisite guitar playing.

George's earliest musical influences were Latin. Born in San Antonio, Texas, he
was exposed to Latin music which included boleros, rancheras, and jarochos as well as
the Cuban mambo, cha-cha-cha and rumba. As a teenager, however, George was taken
in by the hypnotic sounds of traditional flamenco. His passions were ignited and he
totally immersed himself in the genre. Soon he was in great demand as an accompanist to
flamenco singers and dancers across the US, Mexico and Europe. He was also on the
concert circuit as a virtuoso guitar soloist and then added singing (in English, Spanish and Portugese) to his musical skills.

Eventually, he transitioned over to pop music and became involved in singing and songwriting. Besides having co-written "Bridges of Love"(recorded by Jose Feliciano), he has authored and composed songs for jingles, educational childrens' T.V., and for various Latin artists (he writes both in English and in Spanish).
