About the artist: Rick & Gwen Shorter Rick is a published BMI songwriter, arranger, record producer, recording artist and was the Musical Coordinator for the original B'way production of "Hair." He has produced artist for Columbia, RCA and MGM. Gwen is a former R&B recording artist, model and actress who began her professional musical career at New York's Apollo Theater. By the way, Gwen is married to Rick! Rick and Gwen have four children and now live in rural upstate NY where they reach out to others through their live and recorded music presentations, book and music publishing and are actively engaged in physical and spiritual health emphasis. Like in so many other American stores, they were all sold out. With millions of flags and ribbons, we the people are showing our heartfelt support for the men and women who are defending the freedoms that we enjoy. No More Flags or Ribbons is Rick & Gwen's musical prayer on behalf of our brave troops. It was written some eleven years ago during a similar grassroots response to Desert Storm. They never got around to recording it and so they've taken it out, dusted it off and are offering it now. As you know, the events of 9/11 precipitated the all out war on terrorism. Should'a Been Home By Now is included on this CD because it was written to help us to never forget how the events of that day forever changed America and the rest of our world.
