Remy Rodden is first and foremost an environmental educator--a biologist and teacher who just happens to have a natural talent for singing and songwriting. Remy often tells his audiences "We all have gifts to share, to help make the world a better place." His songs are imbued with a deep respect for Mother Earth, and at the same time are fun, catchy and educational. Rodden's music is influenced by his daily contact with the relatively pristine natural environment of the Yukon Territory, Canada, where he makes a bilingual (French/English) home with his wife and three sons. As Conservation Education Coordinator for the Yukon Government, Remy leads educational trips for kids into the Yukon wilderness, and assists local teachers to incorporate more environmental education into their classrooms. Remy has performed at festivals, conferences, and special events across Canada and internationally. His songs have been performed and recorded by several other environmental performers. Over the years, he has had a close working relationship with the influential Canadian Wildlife Federation and their WILD Education programs, and well as being on the executive of local and national environmental education organizations.
