Anne-Louise Sterry, Canby, OR, is an extraordinary storyteller, singer, songwriter and comedian whose contagious joy and New Jersey accent find a way to people's hearts. As a mother, pre-school teacher and psychiatric nurse, music and storytelling have always been an important part of her life. In 1990 this love became her profession. She sings and tells stories, from the sublime to the ridiculous, with children, families and adults in schools, libraries, churches, festivals, senior citizen centers, conferences -- wherever people gather. Always positive and empowering with all ages, she brings an energy to performances, workshops and keynotes that make those present feel she is performing "with them" and not "for them." Anne-Louise has been on the Young Audiences Roster and the Regional Arts &Culture Council (RACC) since 1998. She has been a keynote speaker and presenter at conferences across the U.S. The Water Ballet includes songs and stories for children five years and older. Her other recordings include Black Sox, You're Wonderful and Making Ravioli, which was awarded 2003 Best Spoken Word For Older Children by Children's Music Web.
