Chasing a dream is what singer / songwriter Alice Weiler has been doing ever since she started writing and performing her own original music back in 1996. "Music is something that has been such an important part of my life. I've always played instruments and participated in chorus and choirs. But when I started to write, record and perform my own music, I realized that I had finally found my true passion. Alice took up the guitar in the mid 90's and shortly there after began writing simple children's songs. When the song folder began to bulge, she took her art to the recording studio and, "caught" dream #1. She released her 1st children's album, We Don't Monkey Around in 1999. "When the dozens of tapes and cds arrived on my door step that December, I just stood and stared at the boxes with big tears streaming down my cheeks! They represented all my hard work and my ability to achieve a dream. I never believed it would happen! And when I listen to the songs on that album they remind me of the ever important objective of believing in oneself." Since the release of that album, Alice has enjoyed performing her music for families at festivals, daycares, schools, etc. She caught another dream when she released her 2nd children's album in November of '03 entitled, 'Chase Your Dream.' "The theme of this song has been whirling around in my head for years. The lyrics represent where I've been and where I still want to go. This song challenges us all to face our fears and to never waste a 'moment or a day' on our way to pursuing our dreams and goals. Time is precious and opportunities will 'sail away' if we let them." "Because of all the support and encouragement I've received and the precious time I've been afforded to achieve some of my musical dreams, it's now my mission to give something back. I truly hope that through my music and what it represents that I can inspire, motivate and encourage others to believe in themselves and the possibilities of achieving their dreams!"
