Alain was born in Markala, Mali. He lived in France until 1975, the year he moved to the United States. A musician since he was a teenager, the singer recorded his first children's recording 'Hello, Bonjour' in 1990. 'Soyons Amis' came out the following year and has since become an important tool for French Teachers of grades K-8. It is currently used by the Denver Public Schools system for its French classes on cable TV and in many other schools throughout the country. In 2002, Alain released 'C'est Si Bon', More Easy-to-Learn French Songs For Children. His first English CD 'It's So Good' came out in May 2003.
