Independent Music

Award-winning children's music producer, artist, and trainer, Angela Russ, helps educators motivate young children using a diverse blend of interactive songs that promote imaginative play and fine/gross motor activities. She is a member of the Recording Academy, and the owner of AbridgeClub.com, and Russ InVision Company.

She presents on behalf of Kaplan Co. and for organizations such as Head Start, CA Childcare Food, Crystal Stairs, CAEYC, the CA Teachers Assoc., CKA, USA Gymnastics, and others. She has also given back to the community with donations of her time and training to city programs, and preschools.

Angela's action-packed "Movin' & Shakin" series was featured in Scholastic Magazine's Sept. 2003 "Early Childhood Today-Back to School" issue. Her "Smart Songs 1" CD was chosen 2003 "Best Educational" by ChildrensMusic.org. "Bugsters Tunes & Tales," won the 2003 GOLD Award from National Parenting Publications (NAPPA) and was recommended in the Dec. 2004 issue of Los Angeles Magazine. Her gross motor sensation, "Smart Moves 1," was awarded both a 2004 Parents' Choice Approved Award and 2004 Directors' Choice Award, featuring it once again in the October 2004 issue of "Early Childhood Today" magazine.

In 2004, Angela was commissioned to consult and produce music for the First 5, Head Start, and WIC program's "Active Families" campaign. "Have Fun and Be Active" was released Feb. of 2005.

The Produce for Better Health Foundation commissioned Angela to produce entertainment for young children that promotes healthy eating and physical activity. Both the "Smart Fruit & Veggie Songs" music CD and "The Fruit & Veggie Race" nutrition board game are now available exclusively from www.5aday.org.
