Asia Jasmin Johnson was born on March 27, 1991 in Clinton, Maryland. She is the youngest of Darrell and Denise Johnson's three children. Mrs. Denise Johnson introduced Asia to the art of story telling at an early age. From the time she could walk, Asia personalized her mother's teachings. During the weekly Children's Chapel at church, Asia would leave the circle of children to join her mom at the microphone. Holding on to her mother's dress, Asia added gestures and smiles to the engaging portrayals. This experience exposed Asia to public speaking and helped her to gain self-confidence. She memorized her mom's stories and quickly developed a style of her own. Asia is known for her animation, expressive language, dramatic gestures and endearing smile.

At the age of six, Asia told the Children's Story at the Breath of Life SDA Church. For her initial performance, Asia received a standing ovation. Word of Asia's unique ministry spread beyond her church home. Invitations poured in from schools and churches. Since that initial performance, Asia has spoken to audiences of thousands at National Conferences, Campmeetings, Alumni Celebrations and concerts featuring such notable artists as Wintley Phipps and Virtue.

In the spring of 1999, BenMykel Productions released an inspirational children's CD, entitled "Short Fuzzy Hair". The CD features Asia's expressive narrations of her mom's original stories. Asia has warmed the hearts of hundreds with her signature story, Short Fuzzy Hair. The CD has received an overwhelming response from children, parents, announcers and journalists. Asia and her family are often greeted with the humorous and contagious phrase from the CD..."Hi Y'all."

" Good News", Asia's latest release, is filled with timely messages of hope and inspiration for Christian soldiers of all ages. In addition to the title story "Good News", Asia's mom has written "On Guard Alert", "Working for the Lord", "Signs of the Times" and "The End". Through the leading of the Holy Spirit, the stories provide insights of faith on current events. Asia's delivery is powerful and vibrant.

Asia loves the Lord and believes that telling inspirational stories is her way of serving Him and ministering to others. Asia participates in other children's ministries and activities such as piano playing, Pathfinders and basketball. Asia loves children and hopes some day to help children by becoming a pediatrician.
