Alison Lonsdale has written two other Christian musicals; one for schools and one other for churches, all of which have been performed at different times. She has also written three musicals for young children. “ Songs of Light†was originally written for Alison’s local church in Surrey, England, as a drama and experience of worship to be performed in place of a communion service, with the suggestion that communion be shared during the singing of “Take my bloodâ€.
