Awakening suddenly from a most horrible dream, Ben Levell hurried out to pray with his beloved wife and precious children, as was their custom every morning. But the house stood silent. Walking from room to room, expecting any moment to see his family, he found the house in disarray. Entering the kitchen, he knew something was wrong. His family was not home, and they had obviously fled in a terrible hurry. Breakfast sat half-eaten on the table, and more was still half-cooked on the stove. While he stood in stunned silence, the phone rang. On the other end his father-in-law said in a solemn voice, "the children are fine," then hung up the phone without explanation. Seven years later, Ben still does not know where his children are. Thus began a spiritual journey he would never have imagined could happen to anyone. This journey is recorded in this book. Addressed to each of his children by name, it tells them of the God who twice brought him back from death's edge, of his visions and startling revelations, and of the truth for which he lost everything he had.
