Blay Ambolley and his Afrikan Hi-Life Band has toured throughout Afrika,Europe,Canada and the United States.

He has played the Apollo Theater,Playboy Jazz Festival,the Jazz Bakery,(MOCA),Afrikan Film Festival and the Jazz At Drew. Ambolley has performed on the same stage with some of the world's most celebrated artists;Miriam Makeba,Fela Anikulapo-Kuti,George Howard,Teddy Edwards,Norman Connors,Lakeside,Manu DeBango,Ricardo Estrada and Chikuzan Takahashi of Japan.

He has cleverly combined Ghanaian Hi-Life music with American jazz to create a highly eclectic sound that will take you to the higher ground of blissfulness.

LA Weekly nominated Ambolley for "Best World Beat Recombinant Artists"-2003. Also in October of 2003,Ambolley was prestigiously recognized for his tireless commitment to his musical craft with a "Lifetime Achievement Award" by Jazz at Drew from Charles R Drew University of Medicine and Science,Los Angeles,CA. Additionally,he received Congrssional,Gubernatorial and Local recognitions.
