Drawing from a wide pallette of sounds - from 1970s Ethiopian pop, Indonesian hybrids, American funk, Klezmer, Balkan jazz, indie-rock, 1960s American experimental and jazz -BING creates dynamic, fresh, and eclectic music. The unfolding, unique compositions combine multiple layers, consistent grooves, and a wide array of textures and sounds into an unexpected pop sound.

BING leaders Molly Sturges and Chris Jonas, founders of Quinner Binner Productions, come from a musical background usually more experimental than is usually found in the pop/rock genre. Both have studied experimental composition, various world music traditions and post-jazz improvisation. They work in a wide range of musical worlds, including collaborations with innovative jazz luminaries Anthony Braxton and Cecil Taylor, composition and project commissions for silent films, circuses, art-world installations, festivals worldwide and recordings projects.

In November 2003, BING played to sold out audiences at Santa Fe's Lensic Performing Arts Center as the musical component to Circus Luminous, a new collaboration between BING, Wise Fool New Mexico (circus arts) and Moving People (dance) which will tour New Mexico Fall of 2005. In 2003 the group wrote and performed a live score for Buster Keaton's 1929 silent film Steamboat Bill, Jr., commissioned in celebration of the 75th anniversary of Albuquerque's historic KiMo Theater. Additionally, BING performs on a regular basis to growing audiences in small theaters and venues around the West, touring Colorado, New Mexico and California Summer of 2004.
