Bert No Ernie is one-man bass and vocals band somewhere between punk and jazz. Bert No Ernie is just Jim Osmer. These songs are compositions not improvised solos and are heavily influenced by Nomeansno, Victim's Family and the Minutemen. Also like such unlikely influences as Tool, Marcus Miller, Johnny Cash and Nick Cave.

ANVILSONGS AND ANCHORSONGS is the fifth Bert No Ernie CD and the first with my new Warwick Corvette bass. The heavy piece of Bubinga wood has a murky rumble and leaves marks where it rests.

If you have enjoyed other CD Baby bassists like Darren Michaels and Kriegsmarine, give this a listen.
