Pianopuss is a solo piano album based on asymptotes in time and space. One half premeditated, one half improvised, playing on the fine line between organization and chaos. No vocals, no overdubs, just Adam Pfeffer playing the piano. Though the instrumentation never changes, the compositions and improvisations jump between jazz, classical, and progressive metal while purposely avoiding new age fluff. My greatest influences at the time were Lennie Tristano, Don Pullen, Chick Corea, Keith Jarrett, Keith Emerson, and Frank Zappa. Cover art by Adam Pfeffer and Dean Suko.
