The Ron Kearns Quintet is an acoustic jazz combo based in the Washington, DC area, that has been together for five years. They have performed in the USA for many festivals, concerts and college clinics. Their style is best described as a classic jazz quintet. The frontline consist of sax and trumpet with piano, bass and drums. The group features Ron Kearns on saxes; Kenny Reed on trumpet/flugelhorn; Eric Byrd, piano; Bhagwan Khalsa, bass and Mike Smith, drums.
