Robert Lindquist was born and raised in the Albany, New York region, and is one like other albany based musicians( ie. Brian Pateneude, Adrian Cohen) to venture out as a prominent Jazz Musician. Even though Rob is in his mid twenties, he represents a maturity about his playing, much like that of a seasoned veteran. He has performed for over the last 10 years in albany and beyond, playing with many different groups and performing many styles of music including: rock, funk, classical, new age.... Robert has a very unique style of playing and writting, with hints of his influences Bill Evans, Wynton Kelly, Herbie Hancock, McCoy Tyner, and Keith Jarrett. Eventhough his predecessors are noticable in his playing and writting, in many ways Rob's tunes and style are very much his. This CD is Rob's debut, all original work culminating with highly interesting, energetic and even heartfelt moments. Rob is joined here with the top players from albany, and NY,NY. I would encourage anyone who loves traditional- modern -Jazz Piano and solid combo playing to check this out.

- Rich Monty- jazz pianist/educator - NY,NY
