The third CD by indie pop/folk artists Waste of Aces.

WASTE OF ACES: BAND BIO
When three musician friends started messing around with ukuleles, liquor, and a 4-track inside a 30-foot yacht, the band Waste of Aces was born, and strummed onto the underground ukulele scene (yes, there is one) with a bunch of unusual but catchy melodic pop, folk, and jazz tracks. Initially silly and simple in conception, the band grew in ability and began to tackle more complex compositions. The argument - should there be drums? - was tossed around, and as a result several guest drummers sit in on a number of songs, expanding the sound of the band. Many other talented guest artists are often brought in to enhance the variety of instruments/vocals. But the core elements of Waste of Aces remain Jeff's sensitive songwriting/vocal abilities layered on top of Jun's complex fretless bass tracks.

WASTE OF ACES: PERFECT DAY
Okay, so it’s been like three years since we put out our last album. Enough with the death threats already, because here it is! The band underwent a few changes, namely we lost a member who is pursuing other creative exploits and we wish him the best. This did leave us a little short-handed however, so we begged, borrowed and stole other musician friends to help pick up the slack resulting in the best Waste of Aces album to date; in fact, it’s ‘perfect’! Yes, the songs are catchy. Yes, they are beautifully written. Of course you will laugh, cry, wonder, contemplate and meditate on the exquisitely crafted lyrics. Like a fine wine we feel things just keep getting better (with hints of oak and cranberry!). For those in the know, Janet Klein even makes a special guest appearance to sing a duet with Jeff; fulfilling a personal fantasy Jeff prefers to keep mostly quiet. You will be graced with the usual hidden track which is actually a rocked-out version of “Bumblebee” from the Social Frankenstein album, putting those rumors to rest that we only play the ukulele because we can’t rock out. Bite your tongue!
