If you like Mel Torme, Tony Bennett or Frank Sinatra, you're going to like Aubrey Tadman. He has the swing, the feel and the soul of those master singers, but his own sound and style. He is, as are most of the fine jazz singers, a product of those who came before him. Besides being influenced by the great singers of the last half century, Aubrey's singing has also been inspired by the great instrumentalists; Lester Young, Stan Getz, Miles Davis, Chet Baker, to mention a few. Singing professionally on the radio at the age of fourteen, in his hometown of Winnipeg, Aubrey augmented his musical talents by learning to play the drums. Playing an instrument enabled Aubrey to get more work in the nightclub business, thereby keeping his voice in singing shape. After several years playing in bands and having his own groups, Aubrey left his hometown and went out as a single. He performed all across the United States and Canada on television, in concert and in such prestigious clubs as: The Living Rooms, The Playboy Clubs, The Embers, Le Bistro and many, many more. Besides singing, Aubrey was writing acts for other performers. Even though he was working steadily as a singer, Aubrey worked on his writing skills and soon found himself too busy writing for TV in Toronto and in Hollywood to continue his music carreer. After having written some of the best shows on television; "Rhoda", "Welcome Back Kotter", "Three's Company", "Private Benjamin", "Mama's Family", again just to name a few, Aubrey went back to his first love of singing. In the last several years he has been performing in Los Angeles, Palm Springs and across the U.S. and Canada at such venues as: "The Jazz Bakery", "Geri's World", "The Hyatt Hotel chain", "The Racquet Club", The Gardenia" and "Vicky's Of Santa Fe" plus Jazz Festivals in Vancouver, Winnipeg and Toronto. Besides singing and leading his own trio, Aubrey is currently writing a jazz opera called, "Almost Alive." Track List: 1. You Came A Long Way From St. Louis 2. Accustomed To Her Face 3.
