This CD showcases the jazz compositions of Tim Miller, a young saxophone player with old-soul chops and lots of style and personality. Tim was born and raised in Stanwood, Washington, and studied at the UNLV Fine Arts Jazz department under musicians such as Rocky Winslow, Stephan Karlsson, Russ Blevins, and Tom Warrington. Tim spent several years in Las Vegas, where he performed in nearly every casino and lounge in the city. Tim also spent a lot of time in Los Angeles as a commercial musician doing work for big band CDs. Tim has shared the stage with musicians like Buddy Greco, Johnny Pate, Roy Haynes, and Leslie Anders. Tim has had the privilege to record with jazz greats Harvey Mason, Ron Carter, Monty Alexander, Phil Woods, James Moody, Marlena Shaw, Kenny Burrell, and Shirley Horn, to name a few.

Tim has played in bands ranging from a country back-porch combo to an original free jazz organ trio and a classical saxophone quartet. Musical influences include Gene Ammons, David Liebman, Dexter Gordon, Pat Metheny, and Eddie Harris. He's a single Pisces and likes long walks on the beach and the color blue. Tim says, "if you want any more information than that, you'll have to talk dirty to me."

Other musicians on this CD include master keyboardist Kevin O'Reilly, rock-solid bassist Aeden Hunter, and multi-instrumentalist Mark Dodge on drums and guitar, plus keys and bass on "Travels."
