A review of For Real by Karen Kosowski, EMusic magazine "With the sensual vocals of Angela Higney and the accompaniment of Piero Calvi on keyboards, The Bliss creates a jazz experience that no one should be deprived of. Using funky jazz beats, sax solos and other intriguing melodies; this CD has a certain mixed atmosphere to it. On one hand you have the relaxing, smoky jazz-club jazz that you would expect from Ella Fitzgerald or Billie Holiday. Whereas, on the other hand, you find a more funky side to the music giving it a wider listening range. Misled is the perfect example of this. Misled: jazzy drums, the smoky jazz feel, and great vocals; this song leads the CD into a wonderful ambience. If this song sounds familiar to you it's because Celine Dion made this classic famous. Another great song on this CD is my personal favourite, Mr. Maybe. Again using a unique approach to jazz by adding a more alternative route, this song was stuck in my head for days. Voglio is a song that sets itself apart from the others. Sung by Piero Calvi in Italian, it holds the same jazzy feel, but right when you expect the sensuous vocals of Angela, you receive the deep, mesmerizing vocals of Piero. This gives it a very different route. In comparison the smoky jazz-club songs are not to be out done. Thinking of You has beautiful lyrics, and a rich jazzy taste flowing throughout, as so does Kinda Girl. So if you're looking for a relaxing jazz CD, with an upbeat edge this CD is for you."
