Willie J. Thompson III (TFoxx) During elementary school through junior high school he studied trumpet with music instructor Robert Harris and Music Director Samuel Robinson. Upon entering high school he studied jazz guitar with Gary Syker and has been playing professionally for 35 years with 5 CD projects to his credit, and TFOXX has studied with jazz guitarist Robert Conti, Joe Broccio and Jim Robo, Brad Carlton all of whom inspired TFOXX stunning guitar style. TFOXX entered the Military Naval School of Music in Litttlecreek, Virginia where guitarist Jim Robo helped enhance his skills to perform in musical ensemble. Since then he has performed all over the US as a Jazz Combo Section Leader, Rock Band Section Leader and a Rhythm Section Leader, Smooth Jazz bands. His professional experience includes performances with Chubby Checker, opening for George Benson and B.B. King at the Janis Landing Jazz Festival in St.Petersburg, FL. Guest appearance with Paul Brown at the Tampa Bay Performing Arts concert in which he wrote the song "Side Steppin" on the cd The City. Opened for . . . B.B. King, Roger Smith Band, Jake Sampson Band, W.C. Handy Jazz Festival,Brian Culbertson and Patti Austin Clearwater Jazz Fest 2004, Football Hall Of Fame Music Festival, Tampa Bay Mass Choir, and many government dignitaries. International groups and performances in Okinawa, Japan are R&B groups AddLibb, Leader of the TFoxx R&B Jazz Fusion group, The Club Ritz, and with R&B Vocalist Maria Howell. TFOXX is currently performing with smooth jazz artist Allon Sams, The Shawn Brown Group, and his on band TFOXX and Friends. TFOXX has recorded on Allon Sams cd "Music and Laughter" song Ben Jammin. TFOXX currently writting a gospel cd and another smooth jazz cd. Performed in international Five Star Clubs and Hotels in Okinawa Japan.
