Nada Christensen is a classically trained vocalist with a BA in Applied Voice, now concentrating on jazz standards and re-arranged classic pop music after studying with jazz pianist and composer Joe LoCascio and others in Houston and the surrounding areas. A clinician at the University of North Texas Summer Jazz Vocal Workshop 2004 described the voice as "velvety and mature". Nada is originally from New Orleans. On this first album project, the goal was to work with the best improvisational musicians available in Houston while achieving new skills in arranging and songwriting. The title cut "Only Mellow" is Nada's first published original song and is sure to be the first in a long line of listenable, positive and relaxing music for the smooth jazz afficionado.
