"Zero Ted" consists of three singer-songwriters: Steve Wood, Beth Fitchet Wood and Daniel May, all of whom have many musical credits to their names. They adopted this bandname, which originated in South Dakota and has gone through many incarnations. Rumor has it that "Zero Ted" was the name of the Zeroth cat of someone's girlfriend.

Steve Wood (keyboards, vocals, harmonica, etc.) started the famous Southern California surf band "Honk" in the early seventies, who recorded music for the surf film "Five Summer Stories".

He has continued to make music for the producer of that film, Greg Macgillivray, throughout the years, and has at least 20 IMAX film scores to his credit, including "Everest" and "The Living Sea".

Steve was musical director for Kenny Loggins throughout the eighties, and produced many CD's of all kinds of music for artists all over the world.

Recently, he completed a CD for the great Greek tenor, Mario Frangoulis, and produced another CD for Sony Classical with Duetto.

Beth Fitchet Wood (vocals and guitar) was in the Honk band with her husband Steve, before settling down in the 80's to raise her two boys. Then she recorded two childrens albums (CDBaby release "Autumn To May"), recorded one CD with her group "The Girls" entitled "That's What Dreams Are For", and two solo efforts, "Silos" and "Angel On My Shoulder".

Daniel May (piano, vocals) is the educated guy in the group. He has a doctorate in composition and orchestration, employing those skills with Steve on the IMAX films.

He is one of the best jazz pianists ever, and proof can be heard on innumerable jazz CD's, with Barbara Morrison, Kate McGarry, etc.

His compositions appear in "Memento", "Chopper Chicks in Zombie Town", "Pizza Man", and the whole Medieval Times show.

"Sacred Cow" gives these musicians a welcome opportunity to produce their own music in their own way, - a joy to make and a joy to listen to.
