Based on the premise that any music not prominently featuring the sound of the Hammond B-3 organ is probably not worth listening to, the Soul/Jazz Quintet has been groovin' audiences since 1996.

Their first CD (the Soul/Jazz Quintet) received airplay on jazz stations across the US.

Their newest recording (Soul Rendezvous) is now on the play lists of forty CMJ stations.

As before, the Soul/Jazz Quintet features the commanding vocals of Mr. Nate Pruitt, one of the original Five Satins (In the Still of the Night), and renowned scat artist.

On organ, Steve Czarnecki leads the group and writes and arranges the majority of its material.

He has several CDs to his name on the PMP label (When I Dream of You, Sunnyside Up) and was a founding members of the popular Bay Area group Spang-a-Lang.

Rounding out the line-up is the terrific tenor sax of Bob Johnson, Latin jazz expert Dan Sabanovich on drums and the soulful styling of Mike Renwick on guitar.
