This time, Sozra dwells into strings and the beauty of voice as a pure instrument (no words) voice as poems in sound. As for strings, we have lots of fun with folk, electric & bass guitars. Of course we have a lot of spacey ambient electronic keyboards. The biggest change, is the addition of human voice recorded live

"an amazing cd!" "the pieces come across as full and satiating as they explore the realms of acoustic minimalism and gentle space music".

- Jim Brenholts of ambientvisions.com and Author of Tracks Across the Universe A Chronology of Ambient and Electronic music

"Very nice work from everyone involved." "wordless vocalizing over guitars electric and acoustic make for a dreamy adventure.

-Don Campau on 91.5 FM KKUP in Cupertino California

Dear John
I received "Pulse" a few days ago. "Pulse" brings Sozra's energy level up a few notches since your previous work. Hannah Vo-Dinh's vocals provide an honest, intimate sparkle on every track, a clever blend of highs and lulling refrains. Guitars are edgier and mesmerizing. The keyboards adds some cosmic flavors to this silky smooth music. It is a true pleasure to follow the sound-swept journey of your creative mind. "Pulse" is in my play lists. Thank you for the music.
Best regards,

"SOZRA" says he is a sound artist and that he approaches the time and space of music much like an abstract painter approaches canvas. The music ranges from perky, 'up' tempo to warm, rich spaces of sound to 'snuggle into' ; from trance-inducing repetitive patterns to memorable melodies."

- From music review by Lee Stone of CONNEXION magazine

We are excited to have the addition of Hannah and her beautiful angelic voice. Hannah Vo-Dinh has performed in New York City, Boston, Philadelphia, Washington, D.C., Baltimore, Cleveland, Chicago, San Francisco and other Cities nationwide. As reported in Elle magazine, she "blends East and West beautifully in her demeanor, her voice, and the melodies she spins." She has been interviewed on several radio stations, has appeared on Manhattan's evening news, and was featured on Fox Television's coverage of the Taste of Chicago.

Matt Kraft fills this CD with a jazzy smooth feeling that only the strings of a bass can give. Matt has two CDs under his belt "Illusions" and "Raindrops"

Sozra music uses sound, as color, to paint an audio picture. Click on your CD player and find a soft chair. If you have headphones, place them on. Now you are ready to kick back and let your mind relax and create it's own adventure. ........ Enjoy!

*Great for Meditation, Yoga, Massage, Relaxation, or a pleasant backdrop for introspective work.
