Miss Karlsson was born in Varberg, Sweden into a jazz crazy home, where her father, a musician himself, taught her all he knew about the artform as well as the legendary singers and musicians. Although Eva preferred the Beatles, Prince, and Michael Jackson, singers like Sarah Vaughan and Billie Holiday soon made a huge impression. She began studying singing and music theory. After living in Greece, Austria, the Canary Islands, and France, she finally settled down in New York City and the East Village to study singing, acting, dance and directing at the famous Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute. Eva has performed in plays, independent films and jazz clubs. She also continues to study with teachers and musicians wherever she can. And now, finally, you can hear her first album, entitled Sophisticated Lady, where she covers many of the great standards, including "Don't Explain," by Billie Holiday, who, by the way, shares Eva's birthday, April 7th. So, sit down, relax, and enjoy. Check out the artist's website: http://www.evakarlsson.com Track List: 1. Goodmorning heartache 2. Speak low 3. Lush lIfe 4. Round midnight 5. The look of love 6.
