After 50 years of serious listening to jazz, Estelle Reiner decided to contribute to the jazz scene by singing in cafe's in NY and LA. Her repertoire is as diverse as it is sophisticated. It includes songs by Duke Ellington, Fats Waller, Cole Porter and Dave Frishberg as weel as some "bawdyu" tunes from the early days of jazz. "Paradise" is a wonderful collection of standards and little known gens. Tom Garvin, who arranged the songs here, said, "Most importantly, she always swings! Working with her is a musical collaboration in the best sense. We had a ball creating this album and I know you'll have one listening to it."
