SAUDA ( pronounced: SAH-OOH-DAH ) Her voice, truly amazing. Her sound, is comprised of jazzy soul infused with hints and delicacies of rock, and pop which all derive from her irrefutable love for the art of good music and all that it encompasses. She is none other than the up and coming sensational vocalist, Sauda. Sauda is an artist that has been known to mesmerize the audience with her fluid angelic voice. After experiencing a performance by this young, talented lady you will know that she is definitely a force to be reckoned with. Her small frame produces powerhouse performances and she is hailed by many as a dynamite performer. With powerful vocals that are incredible, there is no doubt with consistency she will develop into one of the greatest performers of our time, possibly of all time. Currently residing in Atlanta, Sauda has been in various bands and has also appeared on the CD's of some of Atlanta's hottest poets and artists such as Steven Charles , Antoine Knight , Edddie Oliver , Tiye Muhammed , and Koni Lee's debut jazz CD. She opened for the Japan chart-topping success Slick and Rose and kicked off the 2003 Centennial Park Jazz Series . Sauda moved to Atlanta from Greensboro , N.C. upon graduating from N.C. A&T State University with a degree in Psychology. Born in Portland , Oregon and raised in Liberia , West Africa for seven years, she is well traveled and hopes to incorporate these experiences in her music. Inspired by veterans such as Marvin Gaye, Sade', Minnie Ripperton , Al Green , Whitney Houston , Stevie Wonder , and most of all, her father from whom her talent is inherited, Sauda has given tribute to each of them in her unique style of expression. Having sung all her life, she decided to become classically trained and actively pursue a career in music in the fall of 1997. Along with singing, Sauda is also a songwriter and composer. She has been featured at Apache Café , Javaology , The Jazz Loft , The Earl , Soul Sista's Juke Joint , and has also made several appearances at Red Light Café' , Vinyl , and Smith's Olde Bar .
