Voted Michigan Jazz artist of the year for 2000 and 2001 by WUCX in Bay City.

Pat has been "gigging" around Michigan for quite sometime as a sideman with numerous performers statewide. He says, "you start to feel like a karaoke machine after a while--drop in your quarter and I'll play while you sing, play, dance, whatever... I just want to do original music."

"Resume the Beguine" contains eight original tunes along with a couple of tasteful "cover" tunes. The horn section consists of: Walter White, trumpet; Jeff Hall, alto sax; and special guest Rick Margitza on tenor sax. Keeping up note for note, the rhythm section consists of: Nick Calandro, bass; Tom Starr, drums; Rick Matle, guitar; and Pat on keys.

Take special note of Rick's guitar solo on "Confucious Juice".

Joe Sample once told Pat something he'll never forget:"Jazz, blues, or gospel; it's all the same." This is a philosophy that Pat shares--witness his previous CD, "The Pat Cronley Project" which includes two tunes featuring the local gospel choir "New Jerusalem Praise Ensemble".

Pat's list of credits includes: the Montreaux Jazz Festival in Switzerland, the Hague Jazz Festival in Holland, and the Utrëcht Blues Festival in Holland. As well as jazz festivals across Michigan and the midwest.

Look for Pat's forthcoming CD "Tenacious" due out this summer. ("Tenacious" is his tenth recording as a leader--pun intended.)
