In 2000, the five musical innovators known collectively as Kieskagato moved from their original home of Madison, Wisconsin to seek their fame and hopefully fortune in the friendlier musical confines of Portland, Oregon. The Pacific Northwest has done wonders for the band both creatively and opportunity wide, as they've become an integral part of the region's rock scene. In 2002 & 2003, Kieskagato expanded their territory beyond the realm of "regional success story," hitting the road and doing shows all across the country, including stops in Boise, Salt Lake City, Denver, Wichita, Lincoln, Nebraska, St. Louis, Minneapolis, Oklahoma City, Santa Fe, Seattle, and their hometown of Madison, Wisconsin. While playing Minneapolis, the band was spotted by Iconic Rocket Records Talent Spotter Chris Imara, who happened to be in town watching another band. Imara was blown away by the band's powerful live performance and recommended them to the label heads. The band was signed two months later and immediately went to the studio to record the critically acclaimed "You, Are The One, Who Can."
