(Obviously, the last Kuriokhin studio recordings - with his long-time friends: bass-player V.Volkov and US saxophone playes K.Maslak aka Kenny Millions) Vladimir Volkov - born in 1960. Graduated from Rimsky-Korsakov Comservatory Since 1980 Vladimir Volkov has been playing in duo with trumpet player Vyacheslav Gaivoronsky. He has worked alongside with Petras Vysniauskas, Vladimir Tarasov, Arkady Shilkloper, Andrey Kondakov, Tomasz Stanko, Michael Moore, Keshavan Maslak, Sergey Kuryokhin, Igor Butman, Olivier Ker-Ourio, Sainkho Namtchylak, Mari Bonie. He took part in performances with poet Dmitry Prigov, Andrey Bitov, played with theater "Derevo", "Scapino" Ballet Rotterdam, dancer Min Tanaka. He also plays with "Vershki da Koreshki", "Moscow Composers Orchestra", "Interjazz Band", "voklovtrio". Vladimir Volkov has worked extensively with different ensembles, including "Collegium Europae" directed by Wieland Kuyken, performing ancient Russian and European music.
