The music of The Exploration Project first Cd- Impossible Beauty-Towards the Normal Edge is a transcultural-transgenre eclectic journey into the infinite. Jeff Shurdut and Scott Rifkin recorded this music in Manhattan. NYC: where they reside. The tracks are open. Edges abound. Styles merge and then explode. What seems simple turns into the complex. Games turn into questions! Does music have rules? At the time of its recording I ( Scott) had only been playing guitar and 6 string bass for about a year. As of 3/21/04 The new CD of the Exploration Project title, Visions and Abstractions, has been released. This new cd is pure Exploration Project. Sorry folks, no commercial radio on this one! The new release features Scott playing guitars, bass and Keyboards. Jeff also has a strong presence on the cd; playing lead guitar. The tracks are the center of worldly dicotomies and paradoxes. The only answers are the ones you come to on your own. In this new millenium we are all forced to face the issues of our times. The track titles and cover art of are only guides from which to start. Each listen will bring new thoughts, images and perspectives. If you only decide to listen to the new cd once, you'll never gain true enlightenment. Multiple listenings are requirement.
