www.wavetone.com NEW RELEASE FROM WAVETONE RECORDS The Laibson - Egan - Gottlieb - Trio The Jeff Laibson, Mark Egan and Danny Gottlieb Trio, drawing on 30 years of musical friendship and playing experience, are understandably one of the most creative Contemporary Jazz ensembles in music today. These gifted artists have achieved the almost impossible: creating a completely unique ensemble voice using traditional jazz trio sensibilities. Their multi-directional influences from jazz and classical to world music provide a free flowing, totally unpredictable musical experience. This acoustic piano, bass and drum trio creates music with simplicity and complexity with a wide range of dynamics and textures. The eighteen tracks on their debut CD, "Thelonius Bach's Lunch", combine song form, improvisation, intensity, space, and humor to achieve exceptional musical expression. There is a special level of communication between these longtime friends that is heard and felt in the music.
