The Big Band Convention is an orchestra that plays once a month in a Cologne Jazz Club. For about 10 years professional big band musicians meet to play original charts of the "classic" big bands that are no longer being heard today. The band functions as well as a platform for arrangers of today that write music in the swinging big band tradition.
