Informally headlining series 2 of Teo Macero's Music For The New Millennium is Impressions of Miles Davis (released November 2000), an eclectic display of inspired riffs and carefully crafted arrangements. Featuring amazing talent assembled by Teo including Harold Danko on piano, Jimmy Madison on drums and Larry Coryell on guitar (just for starters), this album employs a wide range of jazz forms just as did Miles himself.

More compelling than any description is the fact that Teo produced a good number of Miles albums.....

"Miles left it up to me to do whatever I wanted in terms of editing and the sound on all of his albums from Kind of Blue to Star People. I did a lot of experimenting at Julliard as a student with orchestration that approximated electronic effects. I also was using tape manipulation, changing the speed of tapes or the turntable (when I used acetate discs), overdubbing and using echo effects." - Teo Macero
