Arrangers such as Benny Carter, Neal Hefti and Sy Oliver appeared during the Swing Era but they carried on the tradition in studios. The bands there were composed of the same sidemen who started out with the greats, Goodman, Miller and Dorsey.

Although Swing is but an echo in ballrooms and jukeboxes, it continues to live on in the work of noted arrangers as Carter, Oliver and Hefti.
