Bob Fanelli is one of the best musical secrets gradually being revealed. He is a terrific jazz saxophone and vocal artist!
As a young man he appeared on "The Tonight Show", "The Today Show" and "The Mike Douglas Show" television shows. He recorded vocally and instrumentally with a lot of different artists of many different styles on many labels including, RCA Victor, ABC Paramount, Cameo-Parkway and Onyx. Bob performed live with many international stars including Nat Adderly, Chris Conners, Johnny Mathis.
After a couple of years on the road, Bob opted for a steady paycheck. He got a day gig with a terrific medical products company where he had a very successful business career.
Music may have taken a back seat for awhile but he raised a few kids while still raising a little (musical) hell in the Philadelphia area.
The respite must have worked because Bob came back swinging in the jazz idiom; releasing three CD's since 1993. An all vocal collection with a great jazz quartet, "She Loves Me Not ...She Loves Me", as Bob E. Bard (his wife's maiden name);1995, Classic Saxophone tunes done in Bob's own creative way on alto sax as "Jazz Saxophone Classics ", and released in October,2001, "Mood Swings". All of Bob's efforts feature creative vocal and sax arrangements with hard swinging sidemen from the Philadelphia jazz community.
Bob is known for putting the "Fanelli" creative jazz stamp on each offerings. His goal is to be known as "Bob Fanelli... the oldest new jazz discovery".
