Al Cron is a Boston based Jazz musician with a newly released CD entitled The Al Cron Quintet 1999. The album contains three original compositions and six classic Jazz standards including the music of Miles Davis, Duke Ellington, Thad Jones, and Ron Carter. The band is Ken Hadley, drums, Bronek Suchanek, bass, John Wilkins, guitar, John Greiner, tenor and soprano saxophones, and Al Cron on trombone. The album was recorded at PBS studios in Westwood, MA by engineer Peter Kontrimas.

Al has been a freelance musician and educator in the Providence/Boston area since 1993, performing with The Artie Shaw Orchestra, The John Allmark Jazz Orchestra, Duke Bellaire, Greg Abate, The Ken Hadley Big Band, Aretha Franklin, The Temptations, Kenny Rogers, as well as teaching in the Milton Public Schools and the Berklee College of Music. Although he is fairly well known among local musicians, his solo career is in it's infancy. This is his debut release, check it out!
