More than any other rapper in Dallas-Ft. Worth, Twisted Black (a.k.a. 145) is pioneering a defenitive version of gangster story telling. Instead of rolling with the typical flow of mainstream rap, Black strays from the hype and glorification of thugging, hustling and playing the ladies. His early albums "Look What the Streets Made" and "Contradictions" are classics in the urban sectors. Thirteen days following the release of contradictions, Black was incarcerated and unable to promote the album with his group. He began penning the groups third recording "Late Bloomer" while in prison, and has become the city's most sought after artist since his release. A track or two on "Late Bloomer" has leaked to the airways, across the Midwest,Texas and Even the East Coast. Dj's all over are requesting the single "Block Bleedin" which features the Clipse. Twisted Black's raw hypnotic vocals and street life sonnets are a refreshing reminder of what hip-hop really is...individuality, authenticity, and mastering rhyming from the heart.
