A winter blizzard struck Chicago's Robert Taylor projects on the city's south side. Born Morris Brent, "Spit-Sin" a.k.a "SIN" grew up in the Englewood area and later went on to serve 12 honorable years in the US Navy. He was introduced to rhyming while stationed aboard his first ship in 1989 and has been MC'n since. Initially known as "Melodd", Spit connected with friends 3re'Illa and Columbo, and subsequently joined the group "2DIE4" immediately upon being stationed in North Chicago as a Recruit Division Commander.

SIN first created a buzz throughout Chicago with his first professionally recorded song "I D-CLARE WAR", which found itself in heavy rotation and placement on various underground mix-tapes. From there, he lit up future 2DIE4 group songs "SOMETHING TO RIDE 4" and "H.E.A.T", as well as independently-driven crowd favorites "EVERYTHING THAT GLITTAS" and "ILLA-NOIZ BOY". He has performed with such artist as Bone Thugs N Harmony, Petey Pablo and Do or Die, and his list of performances include Double-Doors, The Cultural Center, The Taste, The New 50, Mardigras, San Louis Lounge, Foss Park Field House, The BUZZ nightclub, GLOW nightclub, a guest appearance on WHBK (88.5) and several venues throughout the region including Indiana, Rockford, Bloomington, and Peoria, IL.

Military obligations and the persuit of his Bachelors of Science Degree in Workforce Education & Development forced a brief departure from his music career. However, after graduating, SIN immediately returned to the game with a with a ferocious style that showcased a unique blend of conceptual writing, flawless delivery and wordplay. His versatility and ability to connect with all audiences has solidified his presence in the industry, sparking constant comparisons to more notarized artist such as Talib Kweli, Eminem, Mos Def and Common.

SIN has certainly emerged as one of the Chicago's coldest and most creative lyricists. His talents are evident, and he's well on his way to making his own unique mark in the history of Hip-Hop.
