ED MILS --->*MITOSIS RECORDINGS/SIRE URBAN ENTERPRISE INC. Being from a small area in California (Tulare Ca.) no one would ever expect for Ed Mils to be a lyrical threat. When you hear Cali. you immediately think about L.A. or the Bay area, but Ed Mils represents "CENTRAL CALIFORNIA" a area that gets as much love in Cali. as Bin Ladin in the USA. Ed Mils says, "it really doesn't matter about the love giving outside of his area from OTHER emcee's because he has ripped emcees to shreads from many different areas in Ca., this guy demands to be heard, and he will be heard....ALOT Ed Mils is the first release for Mitosis Recordings and a superb choice of an album the label has selected. The rap style of Ed Mils is not your average Ca. sound, although he does have a very unique way of putting the "Gangsta" in his verses. His songs are not L.A. or the Bay orientated its definetly that "CENTRAL CALIFORNIA(Tulare) sound with a Bay or Mid-West type flow at times, and at other times his rhymes are strictly battle raps, contending with the best at all times. On the "LYRICAL WARR:CH. 1" album you can tell Ed Mils has alot of fun while recording, he is always saying something way out or trying to sing on hooks while he's drunk. The lyrics on the album Lyrical Warr are phenomenal, they will have you laughing and thinking about life's situation at the same dam time. Ed Mils has songs that will turn the club upside down in 3-4 minutes and have your system bumpin' like you have Roy Jones Jr. trying to fight his way out of your trunk with cement gloves on.....in conclusion it's a great album. The beatz on this album are sicc enough to give yo ass SARS. The production from TRE(Royalty Records)will have yo grandma doing the butterfly in her high heels without her walker. The beats from Madd Mike(Madd Beats Productions)will have kkk members Crip walking at a Blood picnic on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. birthday. The traccs made by Luxurious(Lucky Productions)will have Christopher Reed doing that old Kid-n-Play move, when they grab their foot and jump over it...baccwards though. Whitboy John even played live strings on the album but Bone Daddy Loco(CrimeWave Records) help make and record some heavy hitters on this album which help keep the "GANSTA" in it.
