As Hip-Hop began to emerge from the undergound, and show it's face to the entire world, it was then when SUBCONSCIOUS decided he wanted to be a part of the movement. He grew up listening to Big Daddy Kane, Kool G Rap, Juice Crew, Grandmaster Flash, Special Ed, Souls Of Mischeif, Eric B and Rakim, just to name a few. These were the first artists that sparked inspiration in the heart of SUBCONSCIOUS.

SUBCONSCIOUS earned his respect by battling kids just for fun, when he was told countless times that he needed to put out an album. It was the mid-90's when SUBCONSCIOUS began writing, but it wasn't until the later 90's when he started recording. He would record and be featured on mix cd's, but it wasn't until 2003 when he and his group put out their first promo cd.

The time has finally come, the debut solo album from SUBCONSCIOUS, Don't Judge A Book By It's Cover. The production consists of some of the most talented underground artists in the industry. Some of the names include Aaron Ladley and JoBu, two producers that should not be overlooked.

The album has a lot to offer. The songs range everywhere from party joints, to battle tracks, to sentimental songs. For whatever mood you might be in, there is a song on this album that will feed the needs of the true hip-hop listener.
